So, I have tons of things that I think of every week that I could put into a blog post, but then my darn real job gets in the way and I forget about them. My new goal is that if I cannot get a full post out I will at least post a weekly regurgitation of everything from that week and maybe the week ahead.
- I am so sick of Michael Crabtree. You hide behind your agent and Deion. Be a man. Speak up. Either sign the contract, or tell everyone why you won't. Quit all this crap. You are making far more enemies than friends.
- The game between the Steelers and Titans was almost entertaining. Makes me wonder if even though the Niners are my team, I am going to enjoy an entire season of 3-yards and cloud of dust.
- One thing I didn't like about the Thursday game, overtime. I cannot stand the NFL overtime rules. How is it fair that one team doesn't touch the ball? I know, the Titans should have come up with a stop. Well who knows, maybe they would have if the Steelers weren't allowed to kick a field goal on first down to win the game. Look what they did to Ward at the end of regulation to prevent the winning TD.
- How would I play OT? Coin toss to determine possession. Winner gets to choose if they want ball first or second. Each team must get at least one possession. If first team kicks FG and second scores TD, game over. Second team wins. If both teams match score, repeat, but now, no FG's allowed. This will repeat until either team cannot match score. You can punt, if you want, but that is a zero for that possessions. Same for fumbles, interceptions, etc., all are live plays and defensive score ends the game even on the first possession. I'd even be OK with taking FG's out completely.
- What were the Raiders thinking? You send a first round pick in 2011 for a player who will be 30 and may not even be on your team after next year? Did they not think they could have gotten a decent DT/DE in the 2011 draft? If they thought that highly of Seymour, why not just go after him in free agency. It's not like the Patriots were going to pay him.
- Not to mention this is the same team that you gave Randy Moss to for a fourth rounder. Does Bob Kraft have dirty pictures of Al Davis or something? I think what irritates me even more is that the Raider Nation sits by with blinders on and tries to talk about how this was a good deal. Well, I guess in some sense it was. FOR THE PATRIOTS!
- Baseball season appears to be over. Unless the Braves go all miracle and the Rockies, Giants and Marlins fall apart. I like where the team is headed, but they need to add some pop to that outfield and Chipper isn't going to play forever.
- Got my free copy of Madden 10 yesterday. Haven't played it yet. But I'm thinking it will be taking up a large portion of my weekend.
- Is anybody reading this? If someone even stops by I'd appreciate a comment one way or the other. Even if you think it sucks, please let me know.
